Leos and the Multiple District 108 ITALY
Today, in Italy, there are 3466 Leo members divided in 307 Clubs.
Each Club is lead by a President that, with the help of a Secretary, a Master of Ceremonies and a Treasurer, coordinates and supervises the activities of each single member.
Given the high number of Clubs present on the territory, there exists some units of regional coordination that regroup a certain number of them: the Districts.
Each District is lead by a District President that nominates the members of his/her staff (District Officers) that will help him/her in fulfilling the necessary tasks for a correct functioning of the District itself. Each District has its own district service project: District Operative Theme (TOD). All Clubs are required to participate to it and this facilitates the coordination among the single units of the districts.
The 17 Districts present in Italy form the Leo Multiple District 108 ITALY.
Each District is lead by a District President and the 17 District Presidents, together with the Multiple District President, the Vice President and the Immediate Past President, make up the Council of the Multiple District.
This entity, that meets around five times in a year, takes fundamental decisions for what concerns the association on a national level. To the meetings of the Leo Multiple District Council participate, also, the Chairperson of the Lions Multiple District that represents an official liaison between the Leo and Lions Multiple Districts.
